Alleluia Fund
Alleluia Fund offerings have been arriving at Diocesan House since shortly after Easter Day. Generous people in our diocese are making thanks-offerings during these Great Fifty Days of Easter that will support our new church in Southwick and will help us strengthen our ties to the Diocese of Liberia and the Diocese of Kumasi in Ghana. Thank you for everything you have done to support the Alleluia Fund.
Please continue to use the weekly bulletin inserts and do everything you can to encourage even more people to make Alleluia Fund offerings. If you need more Alleluia Fund brochures or Alleluia Fund offering envelopes, please contact us, and we will provide them.

Mass. Council of Churches Resources on “Toxic Trespass”
The health of all God’s children and creatures is being threatened by toxic chemicals that are found in plastics, cleaning products, furniture, electronics, food containers, pesticides and many other sources. What can we do? The MCC offers 2 free resources for congregations and ecumenical groups:
The Healthy Kids, Healthy Churches, Healthy Congregations adult or youth curriculum contains 8 lessons that focus on environmental health and justice from a Christian perspective, giving faith, grounding and concrete actions to take. Plan to use the curriculum this coming fall!
The Clean Creation Coffee Hour Kit contains a 20 minute DVD, “Contaminated without Consent,” reflection questions and action information. It’s a great way to act by supporting the Safer Alternatives legislation before the MA House.
For either or both resources, contact The Rev. Lise Hildebrandt at mcchealthychurches@yahoo.com or 508-869-2167

“The Other I Am”
A Retreat of Reflection and Writing
“We are creations in a continual process of becoming”
June 13-15, 2008
Glastonbury Abbey, Hingham, Mass.
Are you yearning to reconnect with your inner voice in a supportive, spiritual and meditative environment?
Walt Whitman used the phrase “The Other I Am” to describe that part of himself associated with the creative
impulse.
During this retreat, we will provide a range of opportunities for structured activities and unstructured time to
allow you to tap “the other I am”—the wellspring within—to reveal the sacred that is ever present in ordinary
experience. We will utilize reflective writing and lectio divina practices to center, ground and deepen our spiritual
awareness and connection to the divine. These practices will be interspersed with opportunities for rest, meditation,
prayer, silence and shared conversation.
The retreat will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 13 and continue through lunch on Sunday, June 15.
Leaders of the retreat are Emily Ferrara, a poet and teacher of creative writing and mindfulness meditation at
UMass Medical School, and Nancy Elder-Wilfrid, an ordained UCC pastor, spiritual director, clergy associate at All
Saints Church and director of the Kairos Center.
Cost for the retreat, including private room and five meals, is $240. Space is limited, so early registration is
encouraged. There are a limited number of double rooms; if you are willing to share a room, please indicate on the
registration form who you would like to room with.
For more information, please contact the Kairos Center (kairoscenter@allsaintsw.org, 508-752-3766, ext.19).
Registration deadline is June 2, at which time the nonrefundable deposit of $240 is due.
REGISTRATION FORM
To register, complete the form below and mail with your check to:
Kairos Spiritual Life Center, All Saints Church, 10 Irving Street, Worcester, MA 01609
