In an article published Dec. 29, page A1, “Church buys shares in Smith & Wesson Parent,” it stated that the Episcopal diocese of Western Massachusetts was buying shares of stock in American Outdoor Brands – the parent company of Smith & Wesson.
It is so encouraging to see that there is an organization that is attempting to put some sense into the gun issues that are plaguing this nation. They are purchasing stock to be able to have a voice at the table. They are trying to enact sensible gun control – background checks, smart gun technology, etc.
It is heartening to see that this diocese is willing to come to the table to discuss measures to bring some sense to the gun violence in this country. I applaud the Episcopal diocese.
